Good friend referred me. Dad (previous owner) was working on the day I went in as a ... get this, "temp employee," as he put it. Ha! Waiting customer let me know who he was.Needed simple oil change but also asked abt a sound upon start-up. Father was extraordinarily honest with what my car needed and did no up-sell, even as I asked abt a generic "could-be-anything-and-costly-wild-goose-chase" issue. Walked out, having paid for exactly the estimate which was for the oil change. (Sound had to do w/ oil change.)Positives:-- Customers looked like LA, that is, racially mixed, English and non-English speakers, old/young/in-between, and they all were return customers,. Loved that for many reasons, but it also told me that it's not just the business' own same-race, unreasonably loyal customers.-- Mechanic who delivered car to me explained what was done, presented polite and professional.-- They accurately estimated their required time.Cons:-- Small waiting area was filled. People kindly got up to offer their seats to the elderly and obviously infirm. Others waited outside where there was no seating. This could be an issue on a cold day.Would and already have recommended Shige!
