A significant amount of excellence was shown when I had my vehicle services here. I used to be faithful in having my car serviced at the dealership however because of the decline in customer service, it no longer made sense. Trusting Yelp, I made an appointment and took my car in for an oil change, a tire rotation and a general inspection. I prefer morning appointments and this place was very accommodating. The process was simple upon my arrival, I registered my vehicle and was promised a phone call upon completion. In a matter of a few hours, a service technician called to inform me that I needed a new battery. Because their prices are so awesome, I accepted the service. My car was finished by the early afternoon. When I got home, I noticed that my Homelink System was no longer functioning so I immediately contacted the repair shop. Without hesitation they welcomed me back and replaced a blown fuse without charge. Not only are the guys knowledgeable and efficient but most importantly they are genuinely kind. This shop is busy however they respect and value their customers enough to provide the type of service that leaves a satisfaction that stays with you. I was impressed by the overall operation of this place and pleasantly surprised to have discovered such a treasure. When you invest money in a quality vehicle like a Lexus or Infiniti, you want to be able to trust the hands that take care of it. Unlike the dealerships, this auto repair shop offers authentic quality in all facets of service. They also have great prices!

Good friend referred me. Dad (previous owner) was working on the day I went in as a ... get this, "temp employee," as he put it. Ha! Waiting customer let me know who he was.Needed simple oil change but also asked abt a sound upon start-up. Father was extraordinarily honest with what my car needed and did no up-sell, even as I asked abt a generic "could-be-anything-and-costly-wild-goose-chase" issue. Walked out, having paid for exactly the estimate which was for the oil change. (Sound had to do w/ oil change.)Positives:-- Customers looked like LA, that is, racially mixed, English and non-English speakers, old/young/in-between, and they all were return customers,. Loved that for many reasons, but it also told me that it's not just the business' own same-race, unreasonably loyal customers.-- Mechanic who delivered car to me explained what was done, presented polite and professional.-- They accurately estimated their required time.Cons:-- Small waiting area was filled. People kindly got up to offer their seats to the elderly and obviously infirm. Others waited outside where there was no seating. This could be an issue on a cold day.Would and already have recommended Shige!

Great service from Shige's. John was very knowledgeable. Brought my car for a brake fluid job and check. John looked at it and tested it and told me didn't need to change it. Very honest and no charge. I will be bringing my car back when I need service.

I have to thank da homie Alonzo B for telling me about Shige's and John! He had been telling me for a while until yesterday to try them out, saying they are efficient and honest and have great prices. After the dealer wanted to charge me $1600 for some repairs, Alonzo called John for me before telling me to just take in my car. I'm SO glad I did!John is very chill and real and knows his stuff! He was asking me questions, to which I very much did not know the answers, to determine exactly what needed to be done. He did a quick consultation and told me my car should be ready the next day. He called today and said he saved me $80! My bill was lower than the estimate! I, as a female who knows NOTHING about cars and drives a lot and needed someone to trust hers with, now have my own sho nuff car fixer I can trust! Yay!

I've been taking my car to Shige's for the past couple of years and I have never had better service anywhere else. I live in the Inland Empire but make it a point to take my car to Shige's whenever I need service. John is always so helpful and I never feel like he's trying to make me get stuff done to my car that I don't need to. He explains things very well so I can understand what would be best for my car. It's always nice too that I don't have to wait long or leave my car at the shop, they are very efficient with their time. Always call ahead though for an appointment, they are always busy (guess people know where to go for good service). I've bragged so much about this place that my whole family takes their cars here too. Great shop, great customer service, trustworthy mechanics. John and his mechanics will not disappoint you.

My wife is from Gardena, so it's natural that we'd discover Shige's. We've been going to Shige's and John for 30 years now.Just a few weeks ago I brought in the Sienna van for a tuneup and some trouble shooting. I gave John and Dylan a week and a blank check to fix, brakes, wheels, tires, AC, and the complete engine. You know how much the bill would have been at the dealer? $2,500 - 3,000.How much did John spend? $450.They could have replaced the compressor on the AC, but they didn't. Hey just fixed the faulty relay and saved me a thousand bucks.John Kadowaki is one of the most trustworthy guys you'll ever meet. Shige's is truly one of a kind. Just don't go telling anyone. Oh, wait...Mahalo Shige's

My coworker recommended Shige's since we both drive Toyotas. Dylan is awesome. I took my older Camry in for a clutch replacement and air conditioning service. Very honest and professional guys. Pricing is fair considering they use OEM parts which I try to use anyway. Even better, they got the A/C working in my old Camry at a fraction of what I was originally quoted from another shop. Thanks Dylan!

This place is great and has excellent service. The technicians are very knowledgeable and explain what is wrong in detail. As a woman I sometimes get nervous taking my car to auto repair shops but I trust this place.
