John took the time to dumb down the explination and showed me exactly what is needed to repair my car. I left feeling comfortable with my decision to leave my vehicle in his hands. Ill update this upon getting my car back but so far so good.

Great service. Knowledgeable staff who are very helpful. Took the time to explain the work they plan to do. Once completed, they provided the detail of the work and reasons for the repairs. Normally since we lived in Downtown Chicago, we were at the mercy of the dealer and the standard work they do based on the Service codes that shows up on the dashboard. I always thought these codes were BS and just a method for the dealerships to make money by providing unnecessary cookie cutter services. Thanks John Kadowaki for the great service!

Really 4 1/2 stars. After my heinous experiences with Carcinoma err Carson Toyota (see review for fun details), I started looking for an independent who knew as much or my Prius as a dealer, charge me a believable rate, give me warnings about my car in advance and give me good, friendly service. I know, I know and I would expect Sears to "assemble a lawn mower" too, right? I didn't find this, no, I found something better, Shige's. I've always felt you should feel as comfortable about leaving your car in the hands of some one else as you would feel about leaving your pet with a trusted Vet and that is how I feel here.

John and his team did a great got fixing my car and getting me back on the road. Great shop, great experience. I will definitely be going here in the future. Thank You Shiges Foreign Cars!

Thank you John and Wesley of Shige's for helping me to kick the habit of wasting my hard-earned money by thinking that only a Dealership can service my vehicle right. I was so wrong. I am now confident that I can bring my vehicle to you for the same type of work but with better customer service and prices than a dealership has to offer. I'd only wish I had discovered you sooner.

Hands down the best auto service around LA. John and crew not only know their way around a vehicle and they have top notch customer service. The pdf they sent me had a detail list of the issues that they found with my car. I have never received a document like that from any mechanic. Thanks fellas for the fabulous experience

Honest mechanic who solved some mysterious problems with our Sentra. If you are looking for a good honest reliable mechanic- come here! Customer service is also really important to them. John (owner) has personally given me rides to and from home while my car was in the shop waiting for parts. He's done free work when the problem I brought my van was a quick easy fix and he's just an all around nice guy. Doesn't find problems that don't need to be fixed and gives an honest assessment. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Great repair shop and friendly staff! My car has been coming here for years. Last week I came in thinking my axle was my problem. They did a courtesy inspection that took 4 hours but I truly appreciate it because that told me they took their time checking my car out and was able to tell me about any major and minor problems my car had.... Thanks guys!
