My coworker recommended Shige's since we both drive Toyotas. Dylan is awesome. I took my older Camry in for a clutch replacement and air conditioning service. Very honest and professional guys. Pricing is fair considering they use OEM parts which I try to use anyway. Even better, they got the A/C working in my old Camry at a fraction of what I was originally quoted from another shop. This place is great and has excellent service. The technicians are very knowledgeable and explain what is wrong in detail. As a woman I sometimes get nervous taking my car to auto repair shops but I trust this place.

Been coming here over 5 years after several people recommended it. Was further from home but I had no choice after my mechanic couldn't fix a repeating problem that caused problems and $ over the years. Had nothing to lose but more $ with no solutions. Jon and crew were amazing. Fast and elite mechanics. Training and education makes a difference. Most were from the dealers. Straight up and reasonable. Even fixed extras at no cost. They fixed the I ongoing problem as electrical and for only the diagnostic fee. Awesome! Sadly it costed me thousands to go to sub par mechanics who never fixed the problem which did more damage over years. Grateful for their expertise and hard work. Never been disappointed since. All our cars and relatives go there now. Highly recommended. They're busy so call ahead.

John, I think the main mechanic is amazing. I came in at the end of the day and he gave me a free diagnostic on my problem and fit me in in 15 minutes which almost no mechanic does. I had to bring it back a different day because the problem was bad. I brought it back and although he wasn't able to fix it (a very rare and bad problem with the A/C) he didn't charge me anything for everything he did that day. He also sent me to a A/C specialist that he recommended. Best and most genuine experience. I will always be bringing my cars here for problems. John is the man. Hope this helps because anyone and everyone should be coming here.

I have been a customer now for more than 10 years now and I can say that I wouldn't take my car anywhere else..... Excellent service and dependable personnel... Highly recommend!!!!!

I don't write many reviews, but I've been going to Shiges for about 20 years now and their service is still top notch. John will go the distance to help his customers find the best prices and offer his sound advice. It's very difficult to find a good mechanic that's honest and sincere. We'll if you decide to go to Shiges you have found one. I always recommend Shiges to my family and friends so here's a free one for all of you who are reading this now. My safety as well as my families depends on the reliability of the vehicles we drive. So if anyone from Shiges is reading this you have a customer for life!!! To all of the helpers out there... Go and give them a try you won't regret it.

My Avalon is my baby, and this is the only place I go for service.John is upfront and honest; I ask him a billion questions about everything car-related and he gives me answers that are always complete and reasoned.Prices are reasonable, not rock-bottom, but I definitely feel like the service and advice are worth what they charge.

My Acura TL ONLY goes to Shige's. They've done everything from oil changes, brakes and even fixing an electrical component issue the lovely dealer wanted to charge me several extra hundred dollars for. John and his staff are honest and do great work.

They were very helpful and precise. They kept me informed and were friendly. The price wasn't bad either. I found my mechanic!

Have been here several more times in the past couple of years and I continue to recommend Shige's to anyone and everyone. They all agree that he knows his stuff and doesn't gouge you...maybe even underprices! It sounds crazy but I definitely agree with other people's feedback:-I'd go here even if I moved an hour away from the South Bay-I'll only get a "foreign car" (does that mean Japanese?) from now on so I can bring it here to get serviced... actually, thinking of getting John's advice before I buy my next car. :)-He's ridiculously honest and has told me on several occasions what's worth it to fix or not, what parts I could save on by getting from a junk yard instead of new, etc. Seriously, how awesome is this guy??
