IT'S A WIN WIN FOR EVERYONE!!
The long and the short of it is is that we all want to know what's going on with our car, right?
What is that weird noise my car is suddenly making? Why does that light keeping turning on and off on my dash? Can I actually go 5,000 miles on my oil change?
We all have at least asked one of these questions throughout time about our cars. Let's face it, we love our cars, but maybe we aren't so proactive on making sure we do preventative maintenance.
So, all of us at Shige's Premier Car Service want to help you prioritize your preventative maintenance schedule!
But, what if the vehicle isn't even yours yet and you're in the market to buy a car. Not sure what you're buying? Well, we can help you determine if you are making a sound investment.
How can we possibly do this, you ask? Well, that brings us to the topic at hand and that is our Comprehensive Courtesy Digital Inspection!
WHAT IS THIS DIGITAL INSPECTION ALL ABOUT ANYWAY?
We take the time to inspect all aspects of the vehicle. First, we will address any concerns you have that might be the reason for the visit. Unless the vehicle is not operable, the tech will inspect the exterior body, listen for engine cranking, and do a quick road test. During that test they will monitor driveability symptoms, brake symptoms, suspension symptoms, as well as heating, venting and cooling systems. When the vehicle returns to our shop from the quick road test, the tech will continue with the inspection by testing the horn, the windshield, headlights, parking lamps, reverse lamps, turn signals and lastly the license plate lights to confirm whether there are any issues there.
The second portion of the inspection begins with an alignment test with our new state of the art Hunter Elite Alignment system. Keeping track of your alignment is important for the longevity of your tires and steering control. Next the tech will look under the hood and begin with inspecting the engine air filter, take fluid samples, which consists of engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid and coolant. The tech will look for any upper oil leaks at this time, as well. They will do a load test on the battery, check the serpentine belt and all accessory belts, timing belt, radiator hoses and cooling system hoses.
Thirdly, the tech will raise the vehicle on the lift and check under the vehicle for any undercarriage leaks, as well as inspect the front and rear suspension, steering system, CV axles and boots, shocks / struts and finally, look at the exhaust system, which includes pipes and shield.
During the fourth section of the inspection, the tech will check front and rear tires for wear, check tire pressure, front and rear wheel bearings, front and rear brake pads, hoses, all rotors and brake shoes.
While all this is happening the tech will be noting what is passing inspection standards, what needs to be addressed immediately, and what will need attention in the future. And, all this information is processed and put together in the form of a PDF file that includes pictures and videos to help you understand the inspection.
